August – Sea and Salt Box – Shipping begins August 15th

Each month I'll make some bespoke items around a theme. I decided to start this first year using the colors of birthstones to inspire the scent and then go from there with the ingredients.

August is Peridot so I sourced a non-toxic fragrance oil that reminds me of the sea. The soap I made is a Himalayan and Epsom salt soap 🧼 is perfect for keeping your skin new during these summer days in the sun. Both of these salts have loads of magnesium which can reduce inflammation, and increase firmness and moisture. So, like I said, keeps your skin looking new! I ground the salts to a powder so they don't scratch, they polish your skin. It's perfect.

This month we played off the theme of Peridot, August's birthstone. That pretty green color inspired us to go to the sea.

Imagine, walking across a lush grassy meadow on the Irish coastline. Green hues, cool breeze off the sea. The grass is dewey from a light rain that has just passed and your hair is lifted off your neck from the wind coming off the coast. You can feel the excitement and possibility of the day as you close your eyes and smell the fresh sea air. 

We made a Himalayan and epsom salt soap bar, coconut wax pillar candle, a sachet, and a vial of perfumed oil.
